Encestando Sonrisas

Encestando Sonrisas

There are places where a jersey is much more than a jersey. It can become a smile, the opportunity to feel part of a team, or simply the evidence that, somewhere, someone thought of you. The Word reminds us in Hebrews 13:16: "And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased." Sometimes we think that to make a difference we need to do something extraordinary. But the Kingdom of God is also manifested in small gestures: a piece of clothing we share, a pair of shoes we give away, a few hours of our time, or hands willing to serve. What may seem little to us, placed in the right hands, can become a huge blessing. This November, Encestando Sonrisas will return to Barrio Granizal in MedellĂn, Colombia, alongside Gaby, Boffil, and MedellĂn Basketball. It will be a day to share basketball, music, hope, community help, and above all, love with children and youth. And you can be part of it too. We are collecting clothing in good condition, preferably sportswear for children and youth. Soccer cleats and soccer clothing will also be accepted. Perhaps you have something at home that you no longer use. For you it may simply be a jersey sitting in a closet; for someone else it can become a smile and a reminder that they are not alone. Jesus said: "Freely you have received, freely give." Matthew 10:8. Not all of us can travel to MedellĂn. Not all of us will be on the court when a child receives a piece of clothing or shoots a ball into the hoop. But we can all be part of what God will do there. Some will go. Others will give. Others will pray. But when each one contributes what they have, love reaches much further. Every piece of clothing, every gesture, adds up. Today we want to invite you to look around and ask yourself: What do I have in my hands that could become a blessing for someone else? Because serving doesn't always start with something big. Sometimes it starts by opening a closet, picking a piece of clothing, and saying: "This can bless someone." To coordinate your donation you can contact Gaby at +1 (321) 367-0054 or Boffil at +1 (787) 813-9431. Let us pray: Lord, thank You for everything You have placed in our hands. Teach us to look beyond our own needs and to recognize the opportunities You give us to bless others. Bless every child and youth who will be reached in Barrio Granizal. Bless Encestando Sonrisas, its volunteers, collaborators, and every person who decides to contribute. May behind every piece of clothing delivered they feel something even greater: Your love. Make us hands that give, arms that lift, and hearts willing to serve. In the name of Jesus, Amen. Together we can make more children and youth smile. Because when we give together... everyone wins.

While the House Is Still Full

There are movies we simply watched and others that stayed with us. Home Alone is one of those stories that for many became tied to Christmas, childhood, and family. But after so many years, we see it differently. We grew up. Our parents aged. Our children grew. Some people who once sat at our table are no longer here, and some of the actors we remember from that movie have also passed away. Then we understand something that perhaps we didn't grasp when we were children: time does not stop. Psalm 90 is a prayer of Moses that contrasts the eternity of God with the brevity of our lives. That's why Moses doesn't simply ask for more days; he asks for wisdom to live the days he has rightly. Sometimes we are so worried about tomorrow that we let pass what God placed before us today. We wait for a special occasion to call. We wait for the other to apologize first. We wait to have more time to visit. We wait for work to slow down to enjoy our children. But life keeps moving forward while we wait. Perhaps today your house is still full. You can still hear that voice. You can still give that hug. You can still sit at the table. You can still say: "I love you." Don't let what today seems ordinary become tomorrow the memory you wish you could live once more. Perhaps the true tragedy of being "Home Alone" isn't finding yourself alone in the house one day. Perhaps it's looking back and discovering that once your house was full, but you were too busy to enjoy it. Count your days. Not to live in fear of losing those you love, but to gain the wisdom to love them while you have them. Forgive today. Call today. Hug today. Sit at the table today. Tell God how grateful you are for them today. Because the ordinary moments you are living right now could one day become your most extraordinary memories. **Prayer:** Lord, teach me to count my days. Forgive me for the times I've been so worried about what's coming that I haven't valued what you've already given me. Help me to look again at my house, my family, and the people you've placed beside me, and recognize that they too are part of your blessings. Give me wisdom to forgive more quickly, hug more tightly, listen with patience, and say "I love you" while I still have the opportunity. And when my house is full of noise, conversations, and even disagreements, remind me that a day will come when I'll miss some of those sounds. May I never have to lose something to learn how much it was worth. Teach me to live grateful today. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Obedience When It Costs
Obedience

Obedience When It Costs

And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Jesus is our greatest example of obedience. In Gethsemane He faced the weight of what was about to happen. The cross meant pain, rejection, and suffering, but Jesus decided to submit His will to the will of the Father. His obedience did not depend on the path being easy. He was obedient even when obedience had a price. It is easy to say "yes, Lord" when His will aligns with our desires. True obedience is revealed when God asks us for something that confronts our comfort, our pride, or our plans. Jesus taught us that surrendering is not a sign of spiritual weakness; it is one of the deepest expressions of trust in God. Some of the greatest victories begin with a simple prayer: "Not my will, but Yours be done." Identify what costs you the most to surrender. It may be a decision, a relationship, an opportunity, a wound, a plan, or simply your need to be in control. Place it before God and say sincerely: "Even though it costs me, I want Your will." Obedience may hurt for a moment, but walking outside the will of God can cost us much more. Lord Jesus, I want to learn from Your obedience. When Your will is different from mine, give me humility to surrender. When obedience costs me, give me strength to remain faithful. May my prayer not only be that You bless my plans, but that my life fulfills Yours. Today I say to You again: may Your will be done in me. Amen.

Obedience Is Worth More
Obedience

Obedience Is Worth More

So Samuel said: "Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams. God gave King Saul specific instructions, but Saul decided to obey only partially. Then he tried to justify his decision by saying he had reserved the best to offer it as a sacrifice to God. It seemed like a good intention, but God had not asked for that. Saul discovered a difficult truth: a good intention never replaces an instruction from God. We can sing, serve, preach, give offerings, and be busy doing things for God while avoiding what God is really asking of us. Partial obedience is still disobedience. God is not only looking for our activities; He seeks a surrendered heart. We cannot compensate with sacrifices what we refuse to surrender through obedience. Examine your life and ask yourself if there is an area where you are negotiating with God. Don't just ask: "What am I doing for God?" but also: "Am I doing what God asked me to do?" Today is a good day to drop the excuses and respond: "Lord, if You said it, I will do it." Father, forgive me for the times I have tried to substitute obedience with good intentions. Give me a heart sensitive to Your voice and willing to obey You completely. May my actions not come from what I consider best, but from what You have established. I want to please You with a life surrendered to You. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Obey Even When You Don't Understand

By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. Abraham received an instruction from God that meant leaving his land, his relatives, and everything he knew. God promised him a future, but did not give him all the details of the journey. Abraham had to choose between staying where everything was familiar or trusting the voice of God. His obedience began before he knew the destination. Many times we want God to explain everything before we obey. We want to know how it will end, how much it will cost, and what will happen next. But biblical obedience is not always accompanied by answers; often it comes with a single word: "Go." Faith is not only believing that God can do it, but moving when He speaks. Abraham did not know the way, but he knew the God who was calling him. Ask yourself today: What has God asked me to do that I still haven't done because I'm waiting to understand everything? Perhaps you need to forgive, begin, leave something behind, serve, speak, wait, or take a step that causes you fear. You don't need to know the whole path to take the next step. Obey what God has already shown you. Lord, teach me to obey You even when I don't have all the answers. Remove from me the need to control everything and increase my trust in You. Give me courage to take the next step, knowing that where You guide me, Your presence will go with me. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

One More Day

One More Day

Jeremiah wrote these words in one of the darkest moments in Israel's history. Jerusalem had been destroyed, the temple lay in ruins, and the people were suffering the consequences of their sin. Yet in the midst of pain, the prophet paused to remember who God was. His hope was not born because circumstances changed, but because God's faithfulness remained intact. There are days when weariness, uncertainty, or pain seem greater than our strength. In those moments it's easy to think that all is lost. But every new dawn reminds us that God is not finished with us. If you opened your eyes today, it is because His mercy reached you again. You don't need to have all the answers to move forward; you only need to trust that God will walk with you through this day. Perhaps yesterday was a hard day. Maybe there were tears, disappointments, or questions that still have no answer. Yet God is not asking you to carry the weight of all tomorrow. He is giving you the grace needed for today. Tomorrow He will give you mercy again, and the day after that too. This is how a faithful Father works: He sustains His children step by step. Lord, thank you because Your mercy reached me once more. Thank you for this new day, for the breath of life, and for the hope I find in You. When my strength runs out, remind me that Your faithfulness never changes. Help me to trust in Your promises, even when I don't understand the path. Today I choose to walk with You, rest in Your grace, and believe that You are still writing my story. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

When You Can't See… But God Already Spoke

There are seasons where everything seems clear and others where the path is covered in fog. It's not that God has stopped guiding, but that He is forming a faith that doesn't depend on what it sees, but on what He has already said. Uncertainty is not the absence of direction; many times it is the setting where God trains the heart to trust without visible signs. Abraham left without knowing where he was going. Peter stepped on the water while the wind kept blowing. And in every story, the assurance was not in the surroundings, but in the voice that called. When you can't see the next step, it's tempting to stop or go back. But faith matures when you decide to obey even without guarantees, when you choose to remember God's past faithfulness over present confusion. Uncertainty reveals in whom you truly rest: in your calculations or in God's character. He doesn't change, even though circumstances do. What you don't understand today will tomorrow be part of the testimony that strengthens others. Today, instead of demanding total clarity, take the step you do know. Stay in the Word, pray honestly, and surround yourself with voices that point you to God. You don't need to see the whole map to move forward; you need to trust the One who is already at the end of the road. Adjust your focus: less control, more dependence. Less anxiety for answers, more rest in His presence. Faith doesn't eliminate questions, but it does sustain the heart while the answers arrive. Lord, in the midst of uncertainty I choose to trust in You. When my eyes cannot see, remind me of Your voice. Affirm my steps, guard my heart from anxiety and teach me to obey even without understanding everything. Thank you because You are faithful in every season. Today I walk by faith, sustained by Your grace. Amen. Believe Him today… and tomorrow tell me your miracle.

When the Noise Silences the Voice

When the Noise Silences the Voice

We live in a generation full of noise. Everything competes for our attention: responsibilities, work, social media, worries, news, entertainment, goals, and even daily problems. We often think the enemy will always come in an obvious way, bringing visible chaos or immediate destruction. But the reality is that many of his strategies are silent and subtle. In the context of Psalm 46, the people faced moments of uncertainty, wars, and upheavals that could provoke fear. Yet in the midst of chaos, God did not first give them a military strategy; He gave them a spiritual instruction: "Be still." Before reacting, before running, before filling with anxiety, they needed to stop and recognize who was still in control. Today the enemy continues using a similar strategy. He doesn't always seek to destroy all at once; often he seeks to distract gradually. Too busy to pray. Too tired to worship. Too entertained to hear the voice of God. And little by little, the noise of everyday life begins to occupy the place that once belonged to God's presence. The warning is this: a person does not grow cold spiritually overnight. It often happens gradually. First the time of prayer is lost, then the desire to seek God, then spiritual sensitivity, and finally one begins to live a life full of activities but empty of communion. The enemy doesn't need to take you completely away from church to cool your faith; sometimes he just needs to keep you distracted. That is why intentional pauses are necessary. Turn off the noise. Seek silence. Return to God's presence even for a few minutes. Because a life full of noise can prevent us from hearing instructions that could change our path. Today, stop. Examine what is occupying most of your mind, your time, and your heart. Ask yourself if daily busyness is replacing your communion with God. Do not allow temporary things to silence the eternal voice of God in your life. Lord, in the midst of so many voices and distractions, help me to hear Your voice again. Forgive me if the busyness of life has taken the place that belongs only to You. Teach me to stop, to seek You, and to remain sensitive to Your presence. Remove every noise that wants to draw me away from You and awaken in me again the desire to pray, worship You, and walk close to Your heart. In the days of weariness, remind me that Your presence is still my refuge and my strength. In Jesus' name, amen.

When Faith Becomes Action
Obedience

When Faith Becomes Action

Jesus concludes the Sermon on the Mount by emphasizing that hearing His words is not enough. The difference between a life that stands firm and one that falls is not in what is heard, but in what is done with what is heard. Both hear, but only one chooses to obey — and that decision defines their foundation. Knowing the way does not guarantee stability; walking it does. Life brings storms, trials, and moments of pressure that reveal what our walk is built upon. When faith remains in theory, any wind can shake it. But when it becomes daily obedience, it becomes a solid rock. God does not seek immediate perfection, but constant willingness. It is not about doing everything at once, but about being faithful in every step. Examine your foundation. Are there areas where you know what God has asked of you but have not yet done it? Today is the day to begin. Obey in one specific decision: change a habit, set aside time with God, restore a relationship, or take that step you have been avoiding. Every act of obedience strengthens your house. Father, I want to build my life on the rock that You are. Help me not only to hear Your word, but to put it into practice. Strengthen my faith to obey even when it is not easy. May every decision I make be aligned with You. Make my life a firm testimony of Your truth. Amen.

Walking, Not Just Knowing
Obedience

Walking, Not Just Knowing

The letter of James was written to believers who knew the teaching but were at risk of remaining in knowledge without putting it into practice. In a time of trials and scattering, the call was clear: true faith is not demonstrated by what we know, but by how we live. It is not enough to hear the truth; we must respond to it with obedience. There is a difference between knowing the way and walking in it. Many can quote scriptures, understand principles, and recognize what is right — but God's heart is not moved by what we accumulate in our minds, but by what we surrender in obedience. The Word was not given merely to inform us, but to transform us. Every time we hear and do not act, we harden our hearts a little more. But every time we obey, even in small things, we take a real step forward on God's path. Today, identify one clear instruction God has given you: to forgive, let go, trust, move forward, pause, or speak. Do not postpone it. Take a concrete action, even if it seems simple. Transformation begins with small but obedient steps. Walking in God's way is not a one-time event — it is a daily decision. Lord, I don't want to remain only in knowledge. Give me a sensitive heart to obey Your voice. Help me to live what I hear and walk the path You have shown me. Remove every excuse from me and give me courage to respond to You with action. May my life reflect Your truth. Amen.

A Legacy That Still Speaks

A Legacy That Still Speaks

There are moments when memory becomes sacred ground. A birthday comes, and instead of celebration with presence, it becomes remembrance with meaning. The absence is real, but so is the legacy left behind. God never wastes a life that was surrendered to Him. What is planted in faith continues to speak long after the voice is no longer heard. Scripture reminds us that the life of a believer is precious to God, not only in how it is lived but even in how it ends. For those who walked with Him, their departure is not loss without purpose—it is fulfillment, completion, and entrance into His presence. What we often see as an ending, God sees as a continuation in eternity. When someone lives with faith through suffering, their life becomes more than a testimony—it becomes a seed. Every word of encouragement, every act of praise in the middle of pain, every moment of choosing God when it would have been easier to give up—those things do not disappear. They remain. They shape hearts, strengthen others, and point people back to Christ. Grief can sometimes make us feel like something has been taken, but faith reminds us that something has also been given. A life lived for God leaves an imprint that time cannot erase. The way she believed, the way she spoke about Jesus, the way she endured—those are not memories to simply revisit; they are patterns to follow. The question is not only how we remember her, but how we continue what she started. Legacy is not what we hold onto—it is what we carry forward. The same God who sustained her is present with us now. The same faith that held her steady is available to us today. Let this remembrance become more than emotion. Let it become direction. Choose to live with the same boldness, the same trust, the same unwavering faith. Speak of Jesus the way she did. Encourage others the way she did. Stand firm even when it hurts. Her story is not over. It continues through every life it touches. Lord, thank You for the life that was lived in faith. Thank You for the example that still speaks. Help me not only to remember, but to carry forward what was sown. Strengthen me to live with purpose, to walk in faith, and to reflect You in all that I do. In Jesus' name, amen.

Family in the Midst of Distance

Joshua addresses the people at a decisive moment. After years of struggle, transition, and fulfilled promises, the time comes to declare whom they will serve. It is not just a personal decision — it is one that impacts the entire family. In the midst of a life marked by battles and responsibilities, Joshua understands that the home also needs spiritual direction. Military life carries sacrifices that are often unseen. The family becomes a field where battles also take place: distance, change, absence during important moments. It is not easy to sustain a home under constant separation, when dynamics shift, when roles change. But even in the midst of all that, there is a firm truth: the home surrendered to God is not unprotected. No matter the distance, no matter the circumstance — when a family decides to serve God, He takes care of what man cannot control. Serving God as a family does not mean perfection — it means intention. It means covering in prayer, honoring in absence, loving in the midst of difficulty. It is trusting that even when you are not physically present, God is constantly present. Decide today to anchor your home in God, even in the midst of distance. Pray for your family daily. Declare the presence of God over your house. Even when you are away, lead spiritually. Do not underestimate the power of consistent prayer over your home. Prayer Lord, today I place my family in Your hands. You know the distance, the sacrifices, and the burdens. I ask You to cover my home, to guard every member, to fill every space with Your presence. Where I cannot be, You be the one who sustains. Strengthen the bonds, restore what has weakened, and keep our home firm in You. In Jesus' name, amen.

The Battle in the Mind

The Battle in the Mind

Paul writes to Timothy at a moment when fear could paralyze. The circumstances were difficult, the pressure was real, and uncertainty was constant. Paul reminds him that the spirit that comes from God does not produce fear, but inner strength. Mental battles are real. Thoughts that arrive in silence, emotions that cannot always be expressed, burdens that accumulate over time. The environment demands strength, but the interior is often processing more than what is said. The enemy often attacks the mind, because if he can weaken thoughts, he can affect decisions, emotions, and identity. But God did not design you to live under that weight. He has given you power to resist, love to keep you firm, and self-control to govern your mind. Not every thought is truth, and not every feeling defines your reality. There is a war that cannot be seen, but there is also a victory available. And that victory begins when you decide to align your mind with what God says about you. Identify the thoughts that do not come from God. Replace them with His truth. Speak the Word in the midst of the noise. Do not fight alone in silence — bring everything before God. Surround yourself with the Word, with prayer, with presence. Your mind also needs spiritual covering. Prayer Lord, guard my mind. In the midst of thoughts, pressures, and emotions, help me remain firm in Your truth. Remove every fear that does not come from You. Fill my interior with Your peace. Give me self-control to govern my thoughts and strength to resist what tries to weaken me. In Jesus' name, amen.

Time in God's Hands

The writer of Ecclesiastes recognizes that life is marked by seasons. There are times to begin and times to close cycles, times of presence and times of waiting. Nothing is permanent — everything is under God's control. Time for a military person is lived differently. There are seasons when everything accelerates, and others when the wait seems eternal. Time away, time returning, time adapting. Sometimes it feels as if life is moving at a different rhythm. Moments are lost, but others are formed. Cycles close, but God opens new ones. The challenge is not just to pass the time — it is to trust God within each season. God is not limited by time or distance. He is present in every stage. What today seems like a pause will tomorrow have purpose. What today hurts will tomorrow have meaning. Time has not been wasted when God has been present in it. Do not fight against the season you are living — surrender it to God. Learn to see purpose in every stage. Make the most of the present time, even in the distance. Trust that God is at work even when you cannot see it. Prayer Lord, I surrender my time to You. Every season, every wait, every transition. Help me trust in Your plan even when I do not understand it. Teach me to live each moment with purpose. May I not waste time, but use it to draw closer to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Faith That Does Not Give Up

In this passage, a Canaanite woman approaches Jesus asking for healing for her daughter. Although at first she receives no response, and faces obstacles, she does not stop. Her love for her daughter drives her to persist. Her faith does not depend on what she sees or hears, but on trust in who Jesus is. A mother's love is a powerful reflection of God's heart. It is a love that does not give up, even in silence, even in waiting, even in pain. It is a love that perseveres when everything seems against it. This woman had no privileged position, but she had a firm faith. Many mothers today are in that same place, praying for children who have strayed, believing for promises not yet fulfilled, waiting for a change that seems delayed. But God honors faith that perseveres. Faith that is not stopped by rejection, nor by time, nor by circumstances. There are prayers that are not answered immediately, but they are being heard and prepared in heaven. Mother, if you are praying, don't stop. If you are believing, don't let go of the promise. Because when God answers, He does it completely. 🙏 Prayer Father, today we lift up every mother who is believing for her children. Give her strength not to give up. Renew her faith in the midst of the wait. Remind her that You hear every prayer and that in Your perfect time You will bring an answer. Thank you for that love that perseveres. In the name of Jesus, amen.

A Love That Intercedes

Proverbs 31 describes a virtuous woman, not only for what she does, but for who she is before God. She is a woman who builds, cares, works and loves with intention. But beyond her visible actions, there is something deep that sustains everything else: her spiritual life. She is a woman who fears God, and from that fear comes her ability to sustain her family in any circumstance. A mother's love often goes unseen in public, but it manifests in secret. It is the love that prays when no one is watching, that intercedes when the child doesn't know how, that believes when the child has lost faith. There are battles that children will never know were fought by a mother on her knees. And although results may not be seen in the moment, every prayer is a seed that is not lost. God hears every cry, collects every tear, and responds in perfect time. Perhaps today a mother feels tired, without seeing changes, without seeing fruit. But what is sown in faith will always bear results. The love that prays, the love that intercedes, the love that remains, is never in vain. 🙏 Prayer Lord, thank you for the love of mothers, for every prayer they have lifted in silence. Strengthen every mother who today feels tired or without an answer. Remind her that You are working, even if she cannot see it. Allow the fruit of her faith to manifest in perfect time. In the name of Jesus, amen.

When the Soldier Is Exhausted, God Renews

In the context of this passage, God's people were tired, worn out, and uncertain. They had gone through moments of discipline, loss, and waiting. God does not promise them an immediate way out, but something deeper: renewal. He reminds them that their strength does not come from their circumstances or their own ability, but from learning to wait on Him. For the military, exhaustion is not always physical. There is mental fatigue, constant pressure, weighty decisions, separation from family, and moments where you must hold the line even when you are exhausted inside. This verse does not ask you to be stronger… it teaches you to depend. Waiting on God is not passivity — it is trusting while you continue fulfilling your mission. It is knowing that even when your body is tired, your spirit can be renewed. Reflect: Are you trying to hold everything together with your own strength, or are you learning to wait on God as you press forward? Prayer: Lord, in the midst of exhaustion and pressure, teach me to wait on You. Renew my strength where I have nothing left. When my mind is heavy and my body is tired, remind me that You are my source. Help me not to rely only on my discipline, but on Your presence. Lift me like the eagle and sustain me in every step. Amen.

Walking, Running and Flying with God

This verse reveals three dimensions of walking with God: soaring, running, and walking. Not every day is a mountaintop experience. There are days of intense action where you run. And there are long days where you simply walk and endure. God is not only in the high moments… He is also in the slow processes. In military life, there are seasons of intensity and others of routine. Moments of action and others of waiting. But in all of them, God is at work. The danger is thinking you are only okay when you are strong or productive. This verse breaks that mindset: even in the slow walk, God is sustaining you. Reflect: Can you recognize God's hand not only in your strong moments, but also in the days when you are simply holding on? Prayer: Father, help me to trust You in every season. In the days of soaring, may I not forget You. In the days of running, give me endurance. And in the days of walking, give me perseverance. Teach me that I do not have to prove strength all the time, because You are my strength. Sustain my life, my mind, and my purpose in every stage. Amen.

Where the River Reaches, Everything Lives

Where the River Reaches, Everything Lives

In the vision, the river flows from the temple into the desert and reaches dead waters — likely the Dead Sea, a place known for its absence of life due to its high salinity. Yet when God's river reaches that place, the waters are healed and life begins to flourish. This represents God's ability to transform even the most barren scenarios. The power of the river is not in the environment — it is in the source. Where life naturally cannot exist, the presence of God produces life. This confronts the idea that there are areas with no solution. Sometimes the heart dries up from wounds, frustrations, or mistakes, and one begins to think there is no turning back. But God's river does not recognize human limits. Where He flows, the dead revive. No matter how dry, tired, or stuck you feel today. No matter if there are areas in your life that seem beyond repair. If you allow God's presence to flow into that place, something can change. God does not only restore what is visible — He also heals what is deep. You are not out of reach. You are not too far gone. The river can still reach where you are. Prayer: Lord, today I give You the areas of my life that are dry, tired, or without hope. I acknowledge that I need Your presence more than anything else. Let Your river flow in me, heal what is wounded, and bring life where I thought there was none. Help me not to remain stagnant, but to open my heart to receive what You want to do. In You there is restoration, and in You I trust. Amen.

Deeper, Step by Step

Deeper, Step by Step

Ezekiel prophesies during the Babylonian exile, a time when the people had lost the temple, the land, and spiritual stability. In the midst of that crisis, God shows him a vision of restoration: a new temple and a river flowing from it. That river represents not just a physical change, but a deep work of God that begins in His presence and expands toward everything that was broken. The water does not suddenly appear as a deep river; it begins little by little. This reveals how God works in the life of the believer. There are processes, levels, growth. Many desire depth but avoid the process. They want the river, but without walking through the ankles, the knees, and the waist. Yet each level has purpose: God is teaching trust, surrender, and dependence. Depth is not an emotional leap — it is a progressive surrender. Perhaps you feel you are in a basic stage, as if you are just beginning or moving slowly. But that does not mean delay — it means formation. God is not in a hurry; He is building something firm. If today you are at the ankles, keep walking. If you are at the knees, keep going. Do not stop at the shore. What God began in you will not stay shallow. Prayer: Father, thank You because Your work in my life does not depend on my perfection, but on Your presence. Help me not to stop at the shore. Give me the courage to keep moving forward with You, even when I do not understand the whole process. Teach me to surrender more, to trust more, and to release control into Your hands. Take me to a depth where I not only know You, but live completely in You. Amen.

God Is With You in the Midst of Battle

God spoke to Joshua in a moment of transition, when the weight of responsibility was on his shoulders and the future was unclear. It was not a comfortable or safe scenario. It was a moment where he had to move forward without having all the answers. Joshua was not questioning whether he should obey, but he felt the weight of what was coming. And in the midst of that, God did not give him a detailed plan or explain every step. He gave him something deeper: His presence. He did not say there would be no difficulty, only that he would not be alone. In military life there are similar moments. Moments where the body is present, but the mind fights in silence. Where the environment is uncertain, decisions are serious, and fatigue weighs more than normal. There are seasons where distance, pressure, and the unknown try to fill the space with fear or doubt. But in the midst of all that, the truth remains the same. God does not change according to the environment. His presence does not depend on where you are. God does not ask you to understand everything or control everything. He reminds you that He is with you. He is with you in the desert, on the base, on the mission, on the night watch, in the moments where no one else sees what you carry inside. The environment may be unstable, but His presence is constant. And when that becomes real to you, it changes the way you walk, think, and resist. Lord, in the midst of what I do not understand, remind me that I am not alone. Strengthen my mind when fatigue comes, guard my heart from fear, and ground me in Your presence. Even if the environment is uncertain, may my trust be in You. You are with me, and that is enough. Amen.

When the Mind Fills with Noise

Paul writes these words to people who lived under constant pressure. Not only external, but internal. They were believers facing cultural, emotional, and spiritual challenges at the same time. And instead of telling them to change their circumstances, he spoke about something deeper: the mind. Because he understood that the way a person thinks ends up determining the way they live. In service, many of the battles are not visible. Not everything you face comes from the outside. Sometimes it is the constant thought that does not turn off, the memory that returns, the internal pressure that cannot be easily explained. It is that voice that repeats in silence saying you cannot, that you will fail, that you are not enough. And over time, if it is not confronted, it begins to seem true. But not every thought is truth. Many thoughts are born from fatigue, accumulated stress, past experiences that left a mark. Not everything that passes through your mind comes from God. And if you do not filter it, you believe it. And if you believe it, it begins to define how you react, how you decide, and how you see your future. Renewing the mind is not ignoring what you feel. It is learning to submit what you think to the truth of God. It is stopping and asking yourself whether that thought builds up or destroys, whether it brings you closer or holds you back. God does not speak to confuse or paralyze you. His voice brings clarity, direction, and peace, even in the midst of pressure. Lord, guard my mind. In the midst of the noise, help me recognize Your voice. Teach me to filter what I think, to reject what does not come from You, and to sustain myself in Your truth. Renew my mind so that my life reflects what You say. Even if there is pressure, may there be peace within me. Amen.

Persevering in Prayer
Prayer

Persevering in Prayer

Paul writes this letter from prison to the church in Colossae, a community facing influences that distorted the faith, mixing human philosophies with the gospel. In that context, Paul doesn't give them a complicated strategy, but a clear instruction: remain constant in prayer. Not as an occasional act, but as a continuous discipline that keeps the believer connected to God. The word 'persevere' implies constancy, firmness, a decision not to abandon even when you don't see immediate results. 'Watching' speaks of being attentive, spiritually awake, not distracted or drowsy in faith. And 'with thanksgiving' reveals the right attitude: not praying only when there is need, but also recognizing what God has already done. Today this confronts us. Many times we pray when everything is wrong, but we stop praying when everything seems to be going well. Or we get tired when we don't see quick answers. This verse teaches us that prayer is not just to change circumstances, but to keep our hearts aligned with God.

Intentional Prayer and an Awakened Life

Paul not only instructs us to pray, but to do so intentionally. Prayer here is not passive or superficial. It is active, watchful, conscious. It is someone who decides to set aside time, focus their mind, and speak to God knowing they are being heard. The call to watch reminds us that there is a spiritual battle. Not everything is visible. Many decisions, internal struggles, and processes we live through have a spiritual dimension that can only be discerned when we are connected to God. That is why a life without prayer becomes vulnerable, but a life constant in prayer becomes sensitive to God's direction. Thanksgiving also transforms the way we see life. When we give thanks, we change our perspective. We stop focusing on what is lacking and begin to recognize what God has already provided. Gratitude does not ignore problems, but places them in the context of God's faithfulness.

The Invisible Danger

In biblical wisdom, the fall does not begin with the mistake — it begins with the attitude of the heart. Pride made man believe he did not need God. Since Eden, that has been the greatest deception. It is not just sinning, it is thinking you can live without depending on Him. Listen to this… You don't need to hit rock bottom to be in danger. You can be doing fine and still be far from God. When you stop praying, when you stop seeking, when you begin to trust yourself more than Him — that is where the fall begins. Don't trust in your own strength. Don't rely on your own experience. Don't live on autopilot. Depend on God daily. The problem is not falling — it's believing you don't need Him. Prayer: Lord, free me from the pride I cannot see. Teach me to depend on You at all times. I don't want to live trusting in myself — I want to live surrendered to You. Amen.

Strong, but Empty

Jesus is speaking to His disciples — people who were already walking with Him. And yet He tells them: 'Without me you can do nothing.' He didn't say little, He said nothing. Listen to this… You can have talent, discipline, and experience, and still be disconnected from the source. You can look strong on the outside but be empty on the inside. And the problem doesn't show — until the test arrives. Return to prayer. Return to the Word. Return to His presence. Don't walk alone. The most dangerous thing is not failing — it's thinking you can live without God. Prayer: Jesus, I recognize that without You I am nothing. Today I choose to remain in You. Connect me again to Your presence and teach me to depend on You every day. Amen.

From Broken to Purpose

Saul was a persecutor of Christians in the first century. He approved persecutions, entered homes, destroyed the church. But on the road to Damascus he had an encounter with Jesus, and that encounter changed everything. God does not only change your destiny, He changes your identity. Peter denied Jesus, but then shepherded His people. Paul persecuted Christ, but ended up saying: "For to me, to live is Christ..." — Philippians 1:21 The message of the cross was worth more than everything. What you were does not cancel what God said. Your story does not limit your calling. Your fall does not define your ending. God takes the broken and turns it into purpose. He takes the despised and turns it into an instrument. He takes the weak and displays His power. The same Peter who failed ended up leading. The same Paul who hated ended up loving. And the same God can do the same with you. Lord… change me today.

The Potter and the Despised Clay

In the time of the prophet Jeremiah, God sends him to the potter's house. There, the clay in his hands was marred, but the potter did not throw it away. He formed it again. In that culture, imperfect clay was considered useless, but in the hands of the potter it was not waste — it was raw material. God does not choose the perfect, He chooses the available. Peter was impulsive, quick-tempered, spoke without thinking. But Jesus did not see his weakness, He saw a shepherd. Paul persecuted the church, hated the name of Jesus. But God did not see his past, He saw an apostle. "...I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord." — Philippians 3:8 What was once pride became surrender. What was hate became love. People see your exterior, but God sees your heart. People discard, but God transforms. People say "not useful", but God says "this is valuable in my hands". Lord… change me today.

Peace: A Promise in the Midst of the Storm

Context Jesus spoke these words to His disciples just before facing the cross. They were about to experience moments of confusion, fear, and uncertainty. Yet Jesus did not promise them the absence of problems, He promised them His peace. A different kind of peace, not based on circumstances, but on His presence. Reflection God's peace does not mean that everything around you is calm, it means there is calm within you even when everything outside is moving. It is a deep assurance that God is still in control. Many times we look for peace in quick solutions, but true peace is found in trusting Him. When we surrender our burdens, thoughts, and fears to God, His peace guards our heart. It is not something we produce, it is something we receive. Prayer Lord, today I need Your peace. In the midst of what I am facing, quiet my heart. Help me to trust in You even when I don't understand everything. May Your peace govern my thoughts and emotions. I rest in Your presence, knowing You are with me. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Peace: God in the Midst of Loss

Context Paul describes God as the One who comforts in the midst of pain. The loss of a loved one is one of the deepest and most difficult experiences we can go through. There are no sufficient words to fill that void, but there is a truth that remains: God draws near in a special way to the broken heart. Reflection Peace in the midst of grief does not mean the pain disappears, but that you are not alone in it. God does not ignore your tears or minimize your sadness. He walks with you in every moment, even in the quietest ones. Little by little, His presence begins to bring comfort, to sustain the soul and give you strength to continue. Peace comes like a whisper in the midst of pain, reminding you that even though you lost someone here, God is still your refuge. Prayer Father, today I bring my pain before You. You know what I feel and what it costs me to keep going. Embrace me in the midst of this loss. Fill my heart with Your peace and comfort me with Your presence. Give me strength for each day and hope to continue. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Gratitude: A Heart That Recognizes God

Context Paul writes these words to a church facing real challenges. It was not an invitation to ignore pain, but to maintain a right posture of the heart in the midst of any circumstance. Gratitude does not depend on what is happening, but on who God is in the middle of what we are living. Reflection It is easy to give thanks when everything is going well, but true gratitude is revealed when things do not go as we expect. Giving thanks does not mean everything is perfect, it means we trust that God is still good. Gratitude changes our perspective, reminds us of what we do have and not only what is missing. A grateful heart does not live complaining, it lives recognizing that even in the middle of the process, God has been faithful. Prayer Lord, today I choose to give You thanks, even in the midst of what I don't understand. Thank You for what You have done, for what You are doing, and for what You will do. Help me to have a grateful heart at all times, to recognize Your faithfulness and to trust in Your purpose. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Purpose: The Process Has Meaning Too

Context Paul writes this truth in the midst of trials and suffering. He was not speaking from comfort, but from experience. He had faced persecution, prison, and hardship, yet he understood that none of it was outside God's control. Everything, even the difficult things, had a purpose within the divine plan. Reflection Sometimes we think only the good things make sense, but God uses everything. Moments of pain, delays, closed doors… all of it is part of the process. Even when we don't always understand what we are going through, we can trust that God is working. Purpose is not only about the destination, but about who we are becoming along the way. What seems confusing today will have meaning tomorrow. God wastes nothing. Prayer Father, help me to trust Your plan even when I don't understand it. When the process becomes difficult, remind me that everything is in Your hands. Give me peace to wait, faith to believe, and strength to continue. Purpose: Called Before You Were Born

Context God speaks to Jeremiah at a moment when he felt incapable and doubted himself. But God reveals something powerful: his purpose did not begin when he felt ready, but before he was born. It was not a late idea, it was an eternal design. God had already seen his life, his calling, and his destiny before he took his first breath. Reflection Many times we believe our purpose depends on our abilities, but in reality it depends on God's intention. He does not call you because you are enough, He calls you because He is enough in you. Purpose is not discovered when everything is perfect, it is revealed in the middle of the process, even in the midst of doubt. What matters is not feeling ready, but being available. God does not improvise with you; everything He has allowed in your life is part of something greater. Prayer Lord, thank You because my life is not an accident. Even when I doubt or don't understand the process, I trust that You have a purpose for me. Help me to walk in what You have designed, even when I don't feel sufficient. Family: The Power of Love and Forgiveness

Context Paul writes these words to believers who were learning to live a new life in Christ. He teaches them that living together is not always easy, but that true love is demonstrated in the capacity to forgive. In the family, where there is closeness, there are also moments of conflict, and that is where forgiveness becomes essential. Reflection There is no perfect family, but there are families that choose to forgive each other. Pride can build walls, but forgiveness tears them down. Often it is not what happened that divides, but what was never spoken or never healed. Forgiveness does not justify the harm, but it frees the heart. When we choose to forgive as Christ forgave us, we open the door to restoration. Family healing begins when someone decides to love more than it hurts. Prayer Father, teach us to forgive as You forgive us. Remove pride, hardness, and resentment from our hearts. Heal our relationships and restore what has been broken in our family. Help us to love each other with patience and to reflect Your grace in our home. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Family: A Home Built by God

Context Joshua declares these words at a decisive moment for the people. After everything they had experienced, they had to choose whom to serve. He did not only make a personal decision, but established a spiritual direction for his home. He understood that a family is not sustained by good intentions alone, but by a firm decision to place God at the center. Reflection Today more than ever, the family needs spiritual direction. It is not enough to love, one must lead. It is not enough to provide, one must sow. A home is not strengthened by human effort alone, but by the presence of God dwelling within it. Choosing to serve God as a family does not mean perfection, it means dependence. It is acknowledging that without Him, the home loses its foundation. When God is the center, even in the midst of difficulties, there is unity, purpose, and peace. Prayer Lord, today I give You my family. I declare that You are the center of our home. Give us wisdom to lead each other well, patience to love each other in difficult moments, and faith to remain united. May Your presence fill our home and may our decisions honor You. Inner Healing: Releasing the Past to Live Free

Context God speaks to a people marked by the past, by mistakes, failures, and difficult moments. Israel carried memories that bound them emotionally and spiritually. God was not denying their history, but He was showing them that the past had no authority over their future. He was initiating something new, something that required letting go of the old. Reflection The past has a way of constantly returning to the mind. Moments, words, mistakes… all that seems to not let us go. But God invites us to stop living looking backward so we can experience what He is doing today. Inner healing is not forgetting, it is ceasing to be controlled by what happened. It is allowing God to change the way we remember. When God heals, the past stops hurting in the same way, it loses its power over us. God's new thing begins when we stop clinging to the old. Prayer Father, today I acknowledge that there are things from the past that still influence my life. Memories that weigh heavy, moments that still hurt. I give them to You. I don't want to live bound to what has already passed. Do something new in me. Heal my memory, transform my heart and teach me to walk in freedom. Today I release the past and embrace what You are doing. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Inner Healing: God Restores What Pain Broke

Context This psalm exalts God's restorative power after exile. The people had gone through loss, shame, and deep pain. Yet God did not only promise to rebuild the city, but also to heal the hearts of His people. It was not merely an external restoration, but an internal one. God presents Himself as One who does not ignore wounds, but tends to them personally. Reflection Many times we learn to keep moving with open wounds. We smile, serve, press forward… but inside we are still broken. God does not just want us to function, He wants us to be healed. Inner healing begins when we stop hiding what hurts and bring it before Him. No matter how deep the wound, God does not consider it irreparable. He does not only see what others see; He sees what we keep silent. And what we place in His hands, He transforms. Prayer Lord, today I bring before You the wounds that have not yet healed. What marked me, what hurt me, and what still weighs on my heart. I don't want to keep hiding it. Heal what is broken in me. Bind my wounds and restore my inner self. Give me the courage to surrender my pain to You and the faith to believe that You can make me new. In the name of Jesus, amen.

In life there are moments when we feel like everything weighs us down. Storms that seem endless. Moments where we think about giving up. But when we look back, we remember something important: it was not our own strength that sustained us… it was the hand of God. The apostle Paul wrote these words in the midst of persecution and suffering. He knew what it was to fall, to be struck by life and feel at the limit. However, he understood a profound truth: we may be knocked down, but in God we are not destroyed. Maybe today you feel tired. Maybe the storm is strong.
