Part 1 A Legacy That Still Speaks ""Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." — Psalm 116:15"
There are moments when memory becomes sacred ground. A birthday comes, and instead of celebration with presence, it becomes remembrance with meaning. The absence is real, but so is the legacy left behind. God never wastes a life that was surrendered to Him. What is planted in faith continues to speak long after the voice is no longer heard.
Scripture reminds us that the life of a believer is precious to God, not only in how it is lived but even in how it ends. For those who walked with Him, their departure is not loss without purpose—it is fulfillment, completion, and entrance into His presence. What we often see as an ending, God sees as a continuation in eternity.
When someone lives with faith through suffering, their life becomes more than a testimony—it becomes a seed. Every word of encouragement, every act of praise in the middle of pain, every moment of choosing God when it would have been easier to give up—those things do not disappear. They remain. They shape hearts, strengthen others, and point people back to Christ.
Grief can sometimes make us feel like something has been taken, but faith reminds us that something has also been given. A life lived for God leaves an imprint that time cannot erase. The way she believed, the way she spoke about Jesus, the way she endured—those are not memories to simply revisit; they are patterns to follow.
The question is not only how we remember her, but how we continue what she started. Legacy is not what we hold onto—it is what we carry forward. The same God who sustained her is present with us now. The same faith that held her steady is available to us today.
Let this remembrance become more than emotion. Let it become direction. Choose to live with the same boldness, the same trust, the same unwavering faith. Speak of Jesus the way she did. Encourage others the way she did. Stand firm even when it hurts.
Her story is not over. It continues through every life it touches.
Lord, thank You for the life that was lived in faith. Thank You for the example that still speaks. Help me not only to remember, but to carry forward what was sown. Strengthen me to live with purpose, to walk in faith, and to reflect You in all that I do. In Jesus' name, amen.
